Claude Code just got the feature developers have been waiting for. You can now schedule recurring cloud-based tasks that run without your computer on. Set a repo, set a schedule, set a prompt. Claude handles the rest while you sleep.

Here's how it works. You go to claude.ai/code/scheduled or open the desktop app. You pick a repo or multiple repos. You set a schedule. You write a prompt. Claude runs it via cloud infrastructure on your schedule. No terminal open. No desktop running. No babysitting.

The use cases are already obvious. Sweeping through open PRs overnight. Building features from approved issues. Analyzing CI failures while you sleep. Syncing docs based on newly merged PRs. All of this happening automatically without you touching your keyboard.

This is the piece that was missing. Claude Code was already the best coding agent. Dispatch let you text it tasks from your phone. Channels let external services push messages into a session. /loop let you set recurring tasks inside a session. But all of those needed your machine running.

That limitation is gone. Cloud scheduled tasks mean Claude Code can operate completely independently. You define the work once. Claude executes it on a cadence. Results show up when you come back.
