What Just Happened
Jensen Huang walked onto the stage at the SAP Center in San Jose today in front of 30,000 people from 190 countries and spent two hours telling the world exactly where AI is going. New chips. An open agent platform. A robotics coalition. A Disney robot on stage. And a line nobody in that room will forget — "the ChatGPT moment of self-driving cars has arrived." GTC 2026 was not a product launch. It was a declaration. And on top of all of it, Morgan Stanley dropped a warning this week that a massive AI breakthrough is coming before the end of June and most of the world is not prepared. Today felt like proof.

🌎 Jensen Huang Just Redefined What NVIDIA Is
For years NVIDIA has been the chip company. The infrastructure layer. The company everyone else depends on but nobody thinks about directly. That era is over.
Today Jensen Huang made it clear that NVIDIA is now a full stack AI company — chips, software, models, agents, robots, and physical AI all under one roof. Here is everything that dropped.
Vera Rubin GPUs are the next generation of NVIDIA's data center chips and Jensen announced $1 trillion in orders already booked through 2027. That number is not a projection. It is confirmed demand. The scale of compute being built right now is genuinely hard to comprehend.

Vera Rubin GPU’s unvailed by the man himself
NemoClaw is NVIDIA's open source enterprise AI agent stack built on top of OpenClaw — the viral agent platform that took over GitHub earlier this year. NVIDIA spent significant time on stage praising OpenClaw and then announced they had built an enterprise-secure version of it with their own reference stack. They are calling it NemoClaw. If OpenClaw was the developer moment, NemoClaw is the enterprise moment. NVIDIA just handed every company a production-ready agent infrastructure.

The Nemotron Coalition is NVIDIA's move to own the open frontier model ecosystem. Perplexity, Mistral, Black Forest Labs, Cohere, and others are all in. The goal is to advance open frontier models as a unified front against the closed model labs. NVIDIA is not just making chips for OpenAI and Google anymore. They are building a competing open ecosystem designed to give developers a third option.

Physical AI and robotics got a massive chunk of the keynote. Jensen said he cannot think of a single company building robots that is not working with NVIDIA. Humanoid robots in factories. Autonomous vehicles. Medical robots. Every single one running on NVIDIA simulation and inference infrastructure. The line that landed hardest — "the ChatGPT moment of self-driving cars has arrived." That is Jensen saying consumer autonomous vehicles are no longer a matter of if. They are a matter of when and the when is now.

The Olaf robot. Yes, an actual Olaf from Frozen walked on stage, trained inside an NVIDIA simulation built jointly with Disney. It talked with Jensen. It answered questions. It was weird and impressive in equal measure and it showed exactly what physical AI trained in simulation can actually do in the real world today.

Why This Is A Bigger Deal Than A Conference
NVIDIA started as a gaming chip company. Then it became the backbone of AI training. Today Jensen showed the world the third act — NVIDIA as the operating system of physical intelligence. Chips for the data center. Software for the agent layer. Open models for the developer ecosystem. Simulation infrastructure for robots and self-driving cars. That is not a chip company. That is the most important infrastructure company in the history of technology making its move.
⚡ The Vibe Check: Every other company at GTC this week is a customer of NVIDIA. Jensen just reminded all of them. GPUs are just a small part of what NVIDIA does now.

Also Today: Meta Is About To Fire 16,000 People To Pay For AI 🚨
Some Other Stuff Happening In The Meantime.
Meta is weighing cuts of at least 20% of its workforce — 16,000 people — and the reason is not a bad quarter. Meta just reported $200 billion in annual revenue. The reason is AI.
The company plans to spend up to $135 billion on AI infrastructure this year, nearly double last year. The bill got so large that executives told senior managers to figure out how to run the same business with significantly fewer people. JPMorgan estimates the cuts save $5 to $6 billion. That money goes straight into the AI buildout.

Meta CEO - Mark Zuckerberg
While cutting 16,000 jobs Meta simultaneously announced a $27 billion cloud computing deal, acquired an AI agent social network, and is paying some AI researchers hundreds of millions in compensation. The message is simple. Human workers are the budget. AI is the investment.
Meta stock went up 2.33% on the news.
⚡ The Vibe Check: The companies buying Jensen's chips are firing the people those chips are replacing. He is having the best day of his career. Not everyone else is.
Meme Of The Day 🤣

This is Jensen Huang casually cooking fajitas between world domination announcements. The man runs the most important company in AI, just booked $1 trillion in chip orders, launched an agent platform, put a Disney robot on stage, and somewhere in between all of that found time to fire up a griddle. Most CEOs send emails. Jensen feeds you.
What's The Recap?
NVIDIA is no longer a chip company. It is the operating system of the AI era and Jensen spent two hours today making sure everyone in every industry understood that. The Nemotron Coalition gives developers a credible open alternative to OpenAI and Google. NemoClaw puts enterprise agent infrastructure in every company's hands today. The robotics and physical AI push signals the next five years of AI will be less about chatbots and more about machines that operate in the real world. And Morgan Stanley is telling investors to brace for something that will shock them before summer. If today felt big that is because it was. GTC is four days long. This was just day one.
